Kocani Orkestar VS Bigga Bush - L'orient est Roots
Description
Glyn Bigga Bush was born in Northampton, England and grew up listening
to John Peel. He played guitar and bass in bands during the 70s and 80s
and then in the 90s began dabbling in sampling and midi, eventually
leading him to form Rockers Hi Fiwith
Birmingham DJ Richard Whittingham. Together they produced four studio
albums which were released on Island and then WEA Records, as well as a
DJ Kicks mix on K7.
Since 2000 BiggaBush
has worked alone on dub-influenced music released on Stereo Deluxe and
funk, batucada, latin and reggae sounds released on Best Seven. His
alter ego Lightning Head
has a new album out on his own Lion Head Recordings, “13 Faces of
Lightning Head”, which is a mix of afrobeat, deep funk, 21st century
reggae and other afro styles.
