The Big Spill 2012 is being hosted by The Korova, located in the heart of downtown San Antonio just off the Riverwalk. The all ages music festival will be held from Friday March 9th, 2012 until Monday March 19th, 2012. For the 2nd time in 3 years, The Big Spill will be offering nearly two full weeks for the various acts who will be visiting Austin for SXSW just an hour away from San Antonio to be a part of a well organized, laid back but extremely well promoted annual festival. This year the event is also sponsored by Backbeat Magazine. The key organizers behind this festival have played a part in SXSW spillover events all over town for the past decade and are working towards creating the city’s own stand alone festival in the near future. This year, TBS2012 will be utilizing the successful 3 stage format in 2009 after taking a year off in simply sponsoring various other spillover events across the city in 2010.

The Basics:

- 3 Stages Each Night
- 16-36 Artists Per Evening
- Venue Capacity-1000
- Doors Open Daily between 3pm & 5pm depending on the day’s schedule.
- The last act goes on at 12:45am
- The venue closes at 2am
- All Shows are ALL AGES

Los norteamericanos Valient Thorr regresarán a Madrid tras su paso por la edición española del Sonisphere Festival, donde actuaron en la primera jornada junto a Slash, The Darkness, Arch Enemy y Gojira, entre otros. El quinteto presentará en directo las canciones de su nuevo disco publicado, Stranger (Volcom Entertainment, 2010), doce nuevas canciones que harán las delicias de los seguidores del hard rock, el stoner y el heavy metal.

Les acompañarán los ingleses Jettblack, hijos bastardos de formaciones como Skid Row, Airbourne, Cinderella y Judas Priest, entre otros, que presentarán su exitoso disco Get Your Hands Dirty (Spinefarm, 2010).

VALIENT THORR, hijos bastardos del cruce sexual de Motorhead y Turbonegro, volverán en Marzo para presentar su nuevo trabajo, "STRANGER", el cual les ha mantenido girando casi ininterrupidamente durante todo el Otoño e Invierno, girando con bandas de primera linea como Neurosis, Fu Manchu, Baroness, Mastodon, Clutch, Motorhead, etc.

Tras el nombre de VALIENT THORR se esconden un puñado de temas metal & punk & rock presentadas a velocidad de vértigo y sin dar margen al respiro. Sus incendiarios conciertos ya han dado buena cuenta a los escenarios españoles tras las diferentes giras que el quinteto ha dado en España, siendo su paso por el pasado Sonisphere un claro punto de inflexión en su carrera y popularidad entre nosotros. Por lo que todo apunta a que este 2012 viene a significar la consolidación de Valient Thorr como una de las bandas más salvajes y en mejor forma del panorama internacional.

Mezclando el espíritu de bandas como Skid Row, Cinderella y los primeros Def Leppard con la fuerza de AC/DC y Judas Priest, los hard rockeros británicos JETTBLACK serán los encargados de abrir los conciertos que VALIENT THORR dará en España.

They look like a Hell’s Angels chapter chewing up classic 70’s influences such as Sabbath and Thin Lizzy, and Valient Thorr share more in common with that past era of greatness rather than today’s formulaic, watered-down sounds.
